Senior Manager General Accounting | Agha Khan Hospital


Reporting to Director Finance, you will oversee and lead the functions of General Accounting, Fixed Assets & Inventory. You will be responsible to develop short and medium term plans for the department / Unit and be accountable for their implementation. You will oversee the operations of the functional area through a team and will review and resolve policy issues of the multiple areas and make decisions subject to broad practices and procedures.

Responsibilities
     Your responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  1. Oversee the provision of effective functional services for General Accounting, Fixed Assets & Inventory. 
  2. Develop short and medium term plans for the department / division and participate in the strategic planning of the University. 
  3. Lead the operational/department functions.
  4. Manage the recruitment, retention and development of employees.                                                   

Requirements
  •  ACA / ACMA / CIMA or MBA from a reputable university with majors in Finance.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years working experience, preferably in large local or multinational institutions with 4 to 5 years in management position.
  • Experience in managing resources across multiple functions and in coaching, mentoring, developing employees.
  • Have sound knowledge of overall financial systems.
  • Should be able to multitask and think out of the box.
  • Possess exemplary interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills; Able to motivate team and command respect. Able to communicate relevant trends and findings clearly and concisely, knowing when to escalate
  • Proficiency in computers; especially MS Office particularly MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent timelines.
  • Willing to work equally well in a team environment while being a self-starter
